School Supply Lists

Dear Parents/Guardians:

As your child prepares to transition to West Reading Elementary Center, we know that you and your child are concerned about their success in a new building.  It is our belief, based on past experience, that daily organization is a key to ensuring students’ success. 

We ask that parent(s)/guardian(s) please purchase the following 5^th grade supplies for  the 2026-2027 school year.  For those of you who have had 5^th graders before, the list has been greatly simplified over the years.

·           Technology Gear:

Earbuds with a wire to plug into an iPad and an earbud case/bag to keep them safe. Earbuds are used daily. An extra set as a spare is heavily encouraged. 

          **Wireless earbuds are not allowed.**  

·             Everyday Gear:

        -    Large Sturdy Backpack    

        - 1 large pack of regular pencils (add some at a time as needed throughout the year)

-  1 pack of colored pencils

-  2 Highlighters

-  Erasers (regular AND eraser top)

-  Pencil Sharpener (hand held)/No battery types please

           -    One spiral notebook (simple one-subject-not a super thick one)

      -    One box of tissues (class donation)

              -   Personal Water Bottle with name on it.  (optional)

NO Binders, NO Lined Paper- these items are no longer used in 5th grade

   As your children prepare to transition to 6^th grade at West Reading school, we know that their success is a top priority.  It is our belief, based on past experience, that daily organization is the key to ensuring students’ success.   

   We ask that Parent(s)/Guardian(s) please purchase the following supplies for 6^th grade for the school year:   

General Supplies for ALL Classes:

• No. 2 Pencils (two (2) twelve packs) 
• Stylus 
• Two (2) highlighters    
• Clorox Wipes
• Tissues
• Baggies
  • Snack, Sandwich, quart, and/or gallon 
• Hand Sanitizer 

**Students will not need to buy their own lined paper. Teachers will provide what is necessary.
